Once you have decided on a vacation villa rental, you will receive a booking contract outlining the terms and conditions of your stay. A deposit equivalent to 50% of the total rental amount is required to confirm your booking. The full and final balance is due 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Please note that cancellations made within 60 days of arrival are entirely non-refundable. Christmas and New Year’s bookings are non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.
For cancellations submitted 61 days or more prior to arrival, Island Escapes will refund the deposit amount less a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the rental rate before tax, in addition to any applicable bank or credit card processing charges.
Taxes: In addition to the villa rate there is a Government tax of 12% which will be added to your rental.
Upon check in, you will be asked to present a credit card to secure against any incidental charges or to cover additional costs such as air conditioning. Guests wishing to use equipment provided, such as kayaks, paddle board, or dinghies are also asked to sign a release of liability waiver.
Unless otherwise stated we adhere to a strict maximum of 2 persons per room. (e.g., a 3-bedroom house will accommodate 6 persons). If the maximum number of persons is exceeded without prior approval, you may be asked to pay an additional fee per person over the maximum, decrease the number of occupants, or vacate the vacation villa without a refund.
Check-in time is 4.00 P.M. Check-out time is 10:00 A.M. These times are to allow cleaning staff to prepare the home for your and others’ arrival. If you require either an early check-in or a later check-out please consult your Island Escapes property manager. Please note that some villas may have different times, which are stated on the individual villa listing.
On arrival at the property you will receive the villa keys, a welcome information package, a full orientation of the home, as well as an overview of the Island and its amenities. During the course of your stay, your property manager will be available to answer any questions that you may have or remedy any issues that may arise at the property.
Several villa rentals in our collection will permit weddings or private functions but only with prior approval. Since these are private homes, it goes without saying that the property must be used for recreational purposes only in a manner that is lawful and non-offensive to neighbors.
