Once you have decided on a vacation villa rental, you will receive a booking contract which will outline the terms and conditions of your rental. A deposit of 50% of your rental amount is required to confirm your booking. Full or final payment of the rental is due 60 days prior to your arrival. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 60 days prior to scheduled occupancy or for Christmas and New Year’s bookings. For cancellations made 61 or more days prior to scheduled occupancy, Island Escapes will refund your deposit amount less a cancellation fee of $150 plus bank and/or credit card charges.
Taxes: In addition to the villa rate there is a Government tax of 12% which will be added to your rental.
Upon check in, you will be asked to present a credit card to secure against any incidental charges or to cover additional costs such as air conditioning. Guests wishing to use equipment provided, such as kayaks, paddle board, or dinghies are also asked to sign a release of liability waiver.
In the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster in the islands which prevents you from traveling or interrupts your stay, Island Escapes will honor the rescheduling of your vacation within 12 months (subject to availability and any rate differences), or you will be refunded the unused portion of your rental fee.
Unless otherwise stated we adhere to a strict maximum of 2 persons per room. (e.g., a 3-bedroom house will accommodate 6 persons). If the maximum number of persons is exceeded without prior approval, you may be asked to pay an additional fee per person over the maximum, decrease the number of occupants, or vacate the vacation villa without a refund.
Check-in time is 3.00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. These times are to allow cleaning staff to prepare the home for your and others’ arrival. If you require either an early check-in or a later check-out please consult your Island Escapes property manager.
On arrival at the property you will receive the villa keys, a welcome information package, a full orientation of the home, as well as an overview of the Island and its amenities. During the course of your stay, your property manager will be available to answer any questions that you may have or remedy any issues that may arise at the property.
Several villa rentals in our collection will permit weddings or private functions but only with prior approval. Since these are private homes, it goes without saying that the property must be used for recreational purposes only in a manner that is lawful and non-offensive to neighbors.
