About this villa

Contrary to popular opinion, private oceanfront Villa Rentals are not limited to extravagantly wealthy individuals who nose their private jet up to the VIP lounge, and have a Bentley standing by on arrival.

Here at Villa Oceana, where the Sapodilla beach definitely ranks among the ‘enviable beaches’, your comfort levels will be gratefully familiar, the pool is entirely yours for the duration; family and friends can spend as much – or little – energy on meal preparation as is acceptable, or simply crank up the barbecue and nominate a BBQ ‘chef’ for the night – with the promise of a steady flow of ice-cold refreshers … down here it’s called ‘self-catering’, and is one of our favorite year ‘round rituals.

Accommodations at Villa Oceana are arranged to create easy access to the full width terrace covered by a roof overhang, and the similarly full width pool. The terrace is outfitted for outside dining and lounging, and the pool features a chest high wall which increases the privacy levels that are established by the indigenous growth and tropical landscaping on the grounds. A comfortable living room, where the TV holds court, looks directly out over the beach, and while the kitchen is not huge, it is well equipped, with plenty of counter and storage space.

This 4 bedroom home is ideal for those with small children, as well as for those couples who want a lot of privacy away from the crowds of the resorts. The main house features 2 king bedrooms, 1 being a king suite. There is a 3rd small bedroom with twin bunk beds, flat screen tv, doors for privacy and air conditioning. It is perfect for children or nanny. There is an additional king suite that is just a few steps off of the main house for an additional charge.

The beach itself benefits from an off-shore breeze that creates calm waters which, in this location have evolved into a wide crescent of shallow crystal clear ripples that gradually deepen into the pure turquoise waters of the outer harbor, where most often a small cluster of sailboats swing at anchor – awaiting the perfect moment to continue their travels to, or from, the lower Caribbean. The neighborhood includes several popular Rental Villas, and the beach attracts small local family groups on weekends, however most of the time it is as peaceful as it is inviting. Within walking distance a most attractive inside-outside restaurant – ‘Las Brisas’ – offers succulent dining in a beautiful romantic setting; Turtle Cove and the Grace Bay shopping area provides an abundance of watersports choices, boutique and souvenir shops, spas, café and fine dining venues, while Leeward hosts our well known Golf Course, and the Island-Hopping ferry service.

We had a great experience in Turks and Caicos and this property was no exception. The property pictures show exactly how the property is setup. We rented the house and the additional cabana house which was great for our set of 7 adults including three couples. Having bathrooms attached to two of the bedrooms was very helpful. The cabana house was just behind the pool and not attached to the main house so it provides privacy and would be great for one couple with children to be away from any noise in the house. The walk down to the beach was paved and scenic. It was a short walk and being directly on the beach made it such that our group could come and go as we pleased. Sapodilla Beach itself is about 0.25 miles long but the smaller size means much smaller crowds. We rarely saw more than 50 total people out in the area. Sitting out in the ocean under our umbrella was one of our families favorite times. The area is protected and very shallow for a long distance so I imagine it would be great for families with small children. We saw fish and a sea turtle while on the beach. Other families saw a small reef shark and sting ray while we were there. The house itself had all the cooking needs we could possibly use. We brought a lot of groceries with us and were able to cook at the house much of the trip which saved us a lot of money. The pool was a nice, long, large, saltwater pool that was well maintained. It was great to come in from the ocean in the afternoon and relax in the pool where we could get some more shade. The property had so much furniture - our group of 7 was always able to sit together at tables, around the pool, and at the beach. That was a great touch. A few things I would have liked to understand earlier were that the cabana house was an additional rate which is unclear on VRBO when you book for 7 people and electricity costs extra. For our week with 7 people keeping the house quite comfortable it was $240. The rate was $0.40/kWh. We used the kayaks and SUPs frequently and having them easily accessible was very convenient. We did not get to use the firepit due to temperature and vegetation next to it but it was still very pretty. The extras at this property put it over the top - having dish soap and laundry soap/facilities available. Had mid-week cleaning service included. Had a water filter system. We are recommending this place to our friends and family and hope to be able to go back again

Our family of 4 (with 2 kids ages 10 mos and 5 years old) just had an amazing week at Villa Oceana. It was great to be able to pop down to our own private walk to the beach and back to the pool. The garden on the way to the beach was our favorite- we watched the lizards and beautiful birds. The house was perfect for our family and had all the amenities we needed. We visited many restaurants around the island (with car rental) but otherwise stayed at beautiful Sapodilla Bay.

This wonderful house was home to my family for my 70th birthday week long stay. We lived on the beach and in the water and are already looking ahead to next year and another stay at Villa Oceana. Thank you from all of us.

The location on Sapodilla Bay is right in the middle of this picture perfect bay and provides you with a perfect base for an effortless vacation, especially suited for young families. This location is about 10-15 minutes from Grace Bay which is a pro or con depending on your view but we loved our most picturesque location and having it practically to ourselves. Our family of 5 was very comfortable in the villa which is certainly not the biggest or most impressive on the beach but provides a great value and is very comfortable with everything you could want. The layout is nice with a big kitchen and 2 large bedrooms (the master with an ocean front view & porch) and the 3rd bedroom is very small with bunk beds. There is a poolhouse which would be ideal for older kids or grandparents. The pool layout is great and wonderful for meals and the gardens were quite impressive leading from the house to the Instagram friendly palaba and beach. As others said, the pictures don't do it justice. The property managers were so helpful before and during our stay as were the owners. The 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards are essential for this vacation to be "active" for a moment before retreating for a well deserved cocktail. The water really is magical and shallow. It's a kids paradise. Not so great for snorkeling but we drove to Coral Gardens to get some kid friendly basic snorkeling in. We did find it great that the jet skis and most people coming to the beach were at the other side of the beach away from us. The Las Brisas Chalk Sound restaurant is awesome and a 2 minute walk. A major plus. We used Virgil as a driver at times and he was incredible, visited Bugaloos (highly recommend as close oceanfront casual dining) , Ocean Vibes private boat tour and the Thursday Fish Fry. We will back to Villa Oceana.
